MAXIMIZING FLOOR SPACE WITH VERY NARROW AISLE (VNA) RACKING

Donracks recommends the Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking system for those storage houses that have very limited floor space. It is pertinent to remember though that the name inference is more to the racks layout than the racks themselves.

The mobility of the forklifts is restricted in this type of Pallet Racking system. When forklifts are used generally, they can be moved and turned in the isle but in a VNA layout, it may not be possible to do so, as the space is restricted only for the forklift to move in one direction. The reduction of aisle width increases floor space thereby making way for additional space utility.

This system is best recommended by Donracks for exclusive storage houses or warehouses. The extra space from this layout can be used for installing additional racks thereby making full utility of the space in the warehouse.

Donracks recommends the VNA racking system for businesses that can invest on specialized forklifts. The common forklifts cannot be used for the VNA as these equipments cannot turn inside to reach the pallets in a narrow aisle. Specialized forklifts pick up the load from the side while it continuous to drive straight.
